The following information was taken from my copy of the "Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Dedicated June 14,
1913" by North Andover, Massachusetts.  The books lists all the service members who served in Andover and then
later North Andover.  There is no distinction made between those who served in Andover and those who served
from North Andover until the list for the "War of the Rebellion" as the two Andovers did not split until 1854 (that
was when the vote was held), and North Andover was incorporated in 1855.

Supplement.

List of men belonging to Andover who served in King Philip's War, 1675-76, as appearing in the Military series of
the Mass. Archives preserved in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth.

Abbot, Joseph          Osgood, John
Ayres, Zachariah        Parker, James
Ballard, John Nathaniel                        John
      Nathaniel        Peters, Andrew
Barker, Ebenezer        Phillips, Phelps
Blanchard, Daniel                         John
Faulkner, John                        Samuel
Fry, James        Preston, John
Johnson, Stephen        Stevens, Nathan or Nathaniel
Lovejoy, John        Tyler, Samuel
Marks, Roger        Whittington, Edward
Maston, John

The only references to men in the 1690 Canada Expedition who could be identified as belonging to Andover are:

Bridges, James
Johnson, Stephen, (Lieutenant)

Names of men belonging to Andover, appearing on such muster and pay rolls of the so-called French and Indian
Wars, and lists of Militia companies between 1710 and 1774, as are preserved in the Archives division of the
Secretary of the Commonwealth.
There are no pay rolls of the Louisburg expedition in 1745 in the State's collection.  James Stevens, of Andover
Captain of the 7th Co, Col. Samuel Willard's 4th Mass. Reg't was commissioned Feb. 13, 1744.  The Lieutenant of
the company was Timothy Johnson, residence not given.  The records of Andover show that a number of men from
the town went out under Capt. Stevens.  (See Bailey's History of Andover).
